A biography of Norman "Red" Ryan, known as "the Jesse James of Canada." Ryan became an infamous bank robber in the 1920s and '30s. He was one of the first Canadians to be granted parole, and became a Canadian celebrity. All the while, Ryan continued a crime spree on the side, until he was gunned down in an attempted robbery in Sarnia, Ontario.
