Though many years have passed, another orphan - this time a lonely American girl - makes an exciting journey to the enchanting manor where the magic began. Under the watchful eye of the keeper of the garden's key, the young orphan discovers that unlocking all the mysteries of the garden will take faith, courage and determination before life can bloom lavishly once again. In 1946, Mary Lennox, the heroine of the original novel, finds herself all grown up and far from her beloved enchanted garden at Yorkshire's Mistlewaith Manor. Now living in New York, she comes into contact with Lizzie, a feisty Brooklyn-born orphan. It is Lizzie who heads off to England and tries to save Mary's secret garden, which has been dying in its caregiver's absence.
